How much does it cost to ride Metro?
You never pay more than the daily or weekly cap when you tap to ride.
One-Way Ride
Daily Cap
Pay for 3 rides in one day. Ride free after that. Never pay more than $5.
7-Day Cap
Ride all week. Never pay more than $18.
Transfers
Transfers are free within two hours when you tap to ride.

Reduced or Free Fares
Many riders qualify for discounted or free fares.
Students
Students at participating K-12 schools, adult schools, and community colleges ride free with GoPass.
Seniors & Riders with Disabilities
Qualifying riders never pay more than $2.50 a day or $5 in seven days. After that, rides are free.
Low-Income Riders
With LIFE, qualifying LA County residents get 20 free rides each month.
College U-Pass
Participating colleges offer discounted transit passes directly on campus.
EZ Transit Pass
Ride local service on 23 transit agencies across the region with one monthly pass.
